RBTE 2017 will be hosting the third annual Innovation Trail and Awards on 8-9 May. Sponsored by Aptos, the awards celebrate retail innovation at the show.

RBTE 2017 is calling on suppliers to enter the awards with their best innovation – either a product or service – which positively impacts retail. The entries will be judged by an independent industry panel of retailers, who will draw up a shortlist of 16 innovations from which an overall winner will be chosen at this year's show in May.

Shortlisted candidates will feature in visitor marketing material prior to the show throughout April and May, as well as in articles highlighting their innovations in Essential Retail.

The 16 companies will also feature in the Innovation Trail, where attendees at RBTE will make their way around the exhibition hall to visit each shortlisted candidate, thanks to prominent marketing material and an 'Innovation Logo' being displayed on each stand. The conclusion of the trail leads attendees to the Winners Wall at RBTE, where each shortlisted exhibitor will appear.

Last year's winner, Mike Doyle, Datalogic's regional director for UK & Ireland, said: "We're delighted to have won the award, especially as we were up against such strong competition. It's an honour to be recognised by such a judging panel comprising some of the leading names in retail technology.”
